The Past Week #3

This Past week,

My Editors Keys Microphone died, so I figured that after 3 to 4 years of use that I would give it a review.
I do have a new mic ordered and being shipped to me as I’m writing this, I’ll be making a video reviewing the new mic and post it on here within the next few weeks.

So first up the Editors Keys SL150 USB Studio Series Condenser Microphone comes in a brilliant case that looks and makes you feel professional.

When you open it up, you will be presented with the mic itself, the cord, 34mm  shock mount and the user guide, all held in with acoustic foam, which can be re-purposed but in my case, I wanted to store the mic back inside, to keep it safe.

The SL150 microphone features a stellar aluminum build with EditorsKeys branding, and on the bottom you will find the plug import just like most microphones. The overall building quality of the mic is premium, with a professional look that makes your desk or work space look like a pro studio.

Something I’ve noticed as well as others, the shock mount isn’t that steady and falls down over time, despite the fact that I tighten the screw firmly.

Lets talk about sound, because that’s what we are all here for.

The sound is accurate and clear, it isolates almost all the background noise up to the point where you wont hear much of it when talking.

The SL150 microphone offers warm sound. not harsh, easy on the ears, and perfect bass.

It’s very Smooth in my opinion.

And finally the installation, Its quick and simple, Plug and Play!

The Microphone has a inbuilt install, once you plug it in, it automatically installs… Whats not to love 😀

My overall Rating (4.5 out of 5): ★★★★✰

The microphone can be bought here if your interested in it:

Thanks for reading and see you next week!
